"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
The St. Bernadette Men's Group is a brotherhood of Catholic men who gather for prayer, fraternity, formation, mentorship, and service — so we can become better disciples of Jesus Christ.
The mission of the St. Bernadette Catholic Men's Group is to strengthen men through prayer, authentic Catholic fraternity, mentorship, formation, and service — so that they may grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and faithfully live the vocation to which God has called them.
Grounded in the principle that "iron sharpens iron" (Proverbs 27:17), the ministry brings together men at different stages of faith and life so they can learn from one another, encourage one another, pray for one another, and walk together toward Christ.
Whether married, single, widowed, discerning a vocation, raising children, or walking another path of life — every man is called to holiness, discipleship, fraternity, and mission.
Some men have walked the road of Catholic life for decades. Others are just beginning.
Some are husbands and fathers trying to lead their families in faith. Some are single men seeking to understand and faithfully live God's calling in their lives.
Some are grandfathers carrying the wisdom of decades. Some are men returning to the Church. Some are men struggling.
Some simply want brothers with whom they can pray and grow.
All are welcome.
Men Helping Men Become Better Disciples of Jesus ChristLeadership exists to serve the ministry, not the other way around — and the ministry itself rests on four things.
Everything begins and ends with Jesus Christ. We seek a deeper relationship with Him through prayer, Scripture, the Sacraments, and the life of His Church.
Men need brothers. We create authentic friendships where men can encourage one another, challenge one another, pray together, and speak honestly about the realities of life.
Men who have walked further along the road help those coming behind them. Formation addresses both the head and the heart — what Catholics believe and how those beliefs shape the way we actually live.
Formation eventually sends us outward. Men are called to serve — in their homes, workplaces, parish, community, and wherever God has placed them.
A simple structure of four officers, each with one primary responsibility.
The goal is a community where men naturally begin accompanying other men. A man married thirty years may have something to offer a newly married husband. A grandfather may have wisdom for a young father. A man who has returned to the Sacraments may understand the man sitting beside him who has been away.
Nobody needs a perfect life before helping another man. He simply needs to be willing to say:
"I've walked some of this road. I'll walk with you."
That is Iron Sharpens Iron.

Whether married, single, widowed, discerning a vocation, raising children, or at another stage of life — you belong here. All are invited. All are needed. Come as you are. Grow together.
